2018 Lexus UX 300e Electric SUV. 1st generation
The Lexus UX is a compact SUV manufactured by Lexus, a luxury division of Toyota Motor (Japan). It has been produced since 2018. There are front- and all-wheel drive models, as well as hybrid and electric versions. In 2021, Israeli buyers can purchase the first generation of the 2018 UX SUV (as of 2021).
The Lexus UX electric SUV debuted at the 2019 Guangzhou International Auto Show, China. In 2020, the model started being sold in China and Europe. In 2021, the first generation Lexus UX 300e can be purchased in Israel.

Distinctive features
Originally focused on high power and dynamics, the GA-C platform used for the new electric SUV has been optimized for the electric powertrain through the use of additional body amplifiers and optimization of the shock absorber settings. Especially for the Lexus UX 300e, designers have developed rims and an additional underbody screen to improve aerodynamic performance. As for exterior, the electric version differs from the usual SUV only by the Electric nameplates on the rear doors.
The UX 300e high-performance electric motor guarantees powerful and natural acceleration. A 54.3 kWh battery provides a drive range of up to 315 km. The batteries are equipped with a thermoregulation system that functions at both low and high temperatures. A battery located directly under the passenger compartment floor helps to lower the center of gravity for perfect handling.
The new Lexus UX 300e provides comfort and quietness in the passenger compartment thanks to additional battery isolation and ambient noise suppression. On the other hand, the driver may get an absolutely natural experience when driving an electric vehicle, since the active sound control system (ASC, Active Sound Control) transmits the sound background of the environment to the passenger compartment.

Drive Mode Select allows for adjusting the intensity of acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle according to your preferences and traffic conditions. It is even possible to drive in the manner typical of traditional powertrain vehicles, with shift paddles and engine braking, for which there are four levels of deceleration energy recovery.
Using the proprietary LexusLink app, drivers can check the battery level and remaining range. A number of charge management functions are triggered by a timer that notifies the owner when charging is complete. There is also a charging schedule planner that complies with the travel plan and electricity rates. The app also allows you to remotely control the interior climate, seat and window heating.
Motors
The electric motor of the Lexus UX 300e generates 204 hp or 150 kW. Drive range equals to 315 km. It will take you 2 hours to fully charge the vehicle at a gas station. The maximum speed is limited to 160 km/h. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in 7.5 seconds. The vehicle is front-wheel drive.

In Israel, all the 2020/2021 Lexus UX electric SUV models come with a panoramic roof, folding rear seats, front and rear parking sensors, active power steering, 2-zone climate control, rear camera, adaptive cruise control, digital dashboard, diode headlights and R18 discs.
