Feifan ER6. Owner of a long lineage
The Feifan ER6 is the first purely electric sedan of the Roewe brand, owned by SAIC. What does Feifan have to do with it? Based on the Roewe i6, the ER6 was initially introduced under the Roewe brand within a separate model range with the letter ‘R’, where the sedan was included along with the Marvel R SUV. Next, the Rising Auto sub-brand appeared and took control over the electric version of the model, which was named ER6. The Rising Auto ER6 was officially unveiled in Shanghai in August 2020. It was offered in three trim levels, priced between 23,800 and 28,915 dollars (including subsidies). In October 2021, SAIC renamed Rising Auto to Feifan. Thus, the owner of a long lineage has received the final name, Feifan ER6.
Exterior
The Feifan ER6 features SAIC’s new concept of intelligent electrical design, which bears the name “Smart Design”: a closed radiator grille, edges on the hood, as well as a classic smooth profile with a small spoiler protrusion on the trunk lip. The front and rear optics carry Y-shaped motifs decorated with LEDs. The wheels look like a round pizza cut into five equal pieces. The vehicle is 4,724 mm long, 1,835 wide, 1,493 mm high, while the wheelbase is 2,715 mm.
Interior
The interior of the ER6 electric sedan also makes a good impression. It uses simple lines and two-tone design. The car has a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and a 14.1-inch curved infotainment system screen.
Powertrains
The new Feifan ER6 is equipped with an electric motor manufactured by Huayu Automotive Electric System Co., Ltd. The motor produces a maximum power of 184 hp and is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack with a capacity of 69.9 kWh. Within the NEDC cycle, energy consumption reaches 12.2 kWh per 100 km, while the driving range reaches 620 km (within the same NEDC cycle).
