The Jaguar I-Pace is a premium electric car in a 5-doors SUV body, produced by the British automaker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) since 2018. In 2020, the first generation of the Jaguar I-Pace crossover was available on the Israeli market.

Jaguar I-Pace-all-wheel drive premium crossover mid-size niche and at the same time the first production electric car in the history of the British company-has the following dimensions: 4682 mm in length, 1895 mm in width, wheelbase - 2990 mm. The volume of the luggage compartment is 656 liters.

Distinctive features

Externally, the Jaguar I-Pace looks surprisingly compact. However, the interior is spacious, especially for those sitting in the back. In the cabin, free space is used to the maximum – about 10 liters of space between the driver’s and passenger’s seats, a deep compartment in the armrest, pockets, pockets, drawers under the rear seats. The layout of the interior and its execution, especially in the First Edition version, where there are sports seats, is not at all stylized as a gadget, like many other electric cars. Even someone who has never driven a new Jaguar or Land Rover will understand the functionality of the large touch screen.

Electric motors

The new I-Pace electric crossover is equipped with two electric motors with a total power of 400 hp, a torque of 696 Nm, which allows you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.8 s. And the maximum speed of the crossover is 200 km/h. There is no friction in electric motors, nothing to cool, lubricate and maintain. Only the transmission oil can be replaced. But there are also disadvantages - I-Pace can not be towed. More precisely, it is possible, but only a couple of hundred meters and at a speed of up to 15 km / h - due to the lack of cooling of the transmission, but this issue is solved by the tow truck.

The I-Pace 2020 can be charged with the cable that comes with the car. And you can use the usual charging from the household network - up to 100% it is charged in 40-45 hours. If charged by fast charging - via a dedicated WallBox or most public charging stations - then at a maximum of 7kW to 100%, it charges in 12.3-13 hours. If accelerated charging - at high-power charging stations with a constant current of 100 kW - then in 40 minutes the electric crossover is recharged to 80%. On a full battery, the I-Pace drives about 480 km in ideal conditions. In real - time-about 380 km.

Configuration options

The Jaguar I-Pace 2020 has at least 6 airbags in any configuration, a rear-view camera or all-round view in the top versions, rear and front parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, navigation, a variety of electronic driver assistance systems, including lane control and driver fatigue sensor, collision avoidance system and road sign recognition.

Multimedia with voice control, Hi-Fi audio system, leather interior, advanced electric package of adjustments and various heating systems, 1-zone climate control, multifunctional steering wheel, engine start with a button, keyless access, diode headlights with automatic corrector - this is a far incomplete list of basic options for the new Jaguar I-Pace 2020/2021 electric crossover.
