Jaguar I-Pace. 1st generation, 2023 restyling
The Jaguar I-Pace, the first electric car of the British brand Jaguar Land Rover, debuted back in 2018. In 2019, this beautiful model won many awards: International Car of the Year, Automotive Design of the Year, Best Green Car, and Best Midsize SUV. The first generation of the premium mid-size all-wheel drive SUV was popular: 13.5 thousand units were sold during the COVID period in 2020. In the future, even despite all the improvements, the car started losing its popularity. Therefore, in 2023, it was decided to update the electric crossover coupe. Only time will tell whether restyling will revive demand…
In Israel, the pre-restyling Jaguar I-Pace was offered in two trim levels: EV320 and EV400.
Exterior
The 2023 restyling has turned out to be quite moderate. It has brought a smooth plug in place of the radiator grille, which is decorated with a new black and silver logo of the brand. Black elements (linings on bumpers and doors, rear diffuser and sills) are now painted in body color. Previously, this design was called R-Dynamic, but now it is the standard for the model. A set of silver elements is still optional. Plus, there are 22-inch wheels with carbon fiber inserts. In addition, the 2023 Jaguar I-Pace can be ordered in two new gray colors.
Interior
The interior has practically not changed, except for the new Pivi Pro media system with a 10-inch touch screen. As usual, instantly outdated electronics need to be monitored and updated almost every year. The number of functions that can be controlled remotely from a smartphone has been increased. Climate control is now connected to a separate screen.
Powertrains
The 2023 Jaguar I-Pace has kept the same powertrains. Since the EV320 option was removed from the range back in 2021. The car comes with only one twin-engine powertrain, producing 400 hp and 696 Nm. The all-wheel drive SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. And thanks to a battery with a capacity of 90 kWh, the driving range is 470 km (within the WLTP cycle).
