2018 Mazda 3 Sedan. 4 generation

Mazda 3 Sedan. The fourth generation. Released since 2018

The 2018/2019 Mazda 3 Sedan is the 4th generation of the Japanese front-wheel drive C-class car. The Mazda 3 is produced not only as a sedan, but also as a 5-door hatchback, which is also supplied to the Israeli market. Over the past fifteen years, about six million Mazda 3 vehicles have been produced. The popular Japanese ‘threes’ have conquered the world. But in 2019, the time came for a complete ‘fresh start’.

The new 2019 Mazda 3 Sedan has been presented at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. It has been completely redesigned and built on a new platform, its exterior, interior and technical filling have changed. The 4th generation Mazda 3 Sedan has become an eye-catching representative of the ‘Less is more’ minimalism philosophy. The suspension, body, interior, power units have been improved and complemented by the i-Activ all-wheel drive transmission.

Exterior

The steel body features new facets and demonstrates a laconic approach to the exterior. The new 2019 Mazda 3 Sedan has become slightly larger than the previous generation, and its wheelbase has increased by 25 mm, up to 2,725 mm. The rigidity of the body of the 2019 Mazda 3 has also been improved due to looped sets of amplifiers, which increased the reliability of the car.

If we compare the third generation Mazda 3 with the new model of 2018/2019, we will notice the modified rear-view mirrors, the lack of relief in the side, the wheel arches that seem to merge with the body, rear windows located at an extremely acute angle, large exhaust pipes and a rear wing with a brake light.

Interior

The principle of the minimalism philosophy has a significant effect on the interior decoration of the 2019 Mazda 3 Sedan. Now the ‘threes’ have acquired ventilation deflectors and a climate control unit without unnecessary heaps and ‘heavy’ frames. Boasting better visibility through the windshield, the car is equipped with a modern multimedia system with an 8.8-inch touch display and a new set of security systems i-Activsense.

Having refused from the multi-link rear suspension, the new 2019 Mazda 3 model is now equipped with McPherson struts for the improved steering response and comfort, making the new Mazda 3 better and more comfortable than the previous one.

Modifications

In Israel, the new Mazda 3 comes with a 2-liter SKYACTIV-G petrol engine with 165 hp, allowing the car to reach speeds of up to 208 km/h. It is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission and has front-wheel drive.

Trim versions

The buyers can choose from two trim versions: COMFORT and SPIRIT. Both of them, in addition to the standard set of airbags, also provide knee airbags for ultimate comfort, a tire pressure sensor, adaptive cruise control, navigation, climate control, a driver fatigue sensor, lane departure warning system, hill start assist system (HSA) and collision avoidance system. The start-stop system, keyless access, anti-theft system are also included in both trim versions of the Mazda 3 Sedan. The Mazda 3 SPIRIT will delight you with a sunroof, multifunction steering wheel, paddle shifters, LED headlights, adaptive lighting, and R18 wheels.
