Mercedes AMG GT Coupe. 1st generation, restyling 2017
Mercedes AMG GT is a sports car from the German brand Mercedes-Benz, which has been produced since 2014. It is available in coupe, roadster, and liftback bodies. You can buy the first generation of the car in the Israel market after 2017 restyling in 2020.
The 2017/2018 AMG GT 2-door 2-seat coupe has quite compact dimensions: it’s 4544 mm long, 1939 mm wide, the wheelbase is 2630 mm, the trunk volume is 350 liters.
Exterior and interior
The updated sports car Mercedes AMG GT received a slightly modified suspension and a slight optimization of aerodynamics to increase downforce after the restyling in 2017. Headlights with large V-shaped inserts of navigation lights and split pipes of the exhaust system appeared outside (they are different for each modification). A configurable display with a diagonal of 12.3 inches appeared instead of analog devices, the media system screen is much wider now (10.25 inches), the new steering wheel is equipped with touchpads on the spokes, and there are rectangular buttons instead of a round ones on the console now. Also, the AMG Dynamics function has appeared, which adjusts the degree of ESP intervention depending on the selected mode (Basic, Advanced, Pro, and Master).
Modifications
The super-powerful sports car from Mercedes traditionally has several modifications and trim versions.
- AMG GT R is equipped with the most powerful 585-hp engine
- AMG GT is equipped with a conditionally ‘simple’ 476-hp engine
- AMG GT S has a 522-hp engine
- AMG GT C is equipped with a 557-hp engine
Trim versions
All 2020 coupe trim versions come with sports front seats, side skirts, leather or combination interior, black fabric headlining, LED headlights, and R19 or R20 wheels. Each model has central locking and immobilizer, at least 7 airbags, cruise control, driver fatigue sensor, hill start assist, and ESP stabilization system.
Multimedia, Bluetooth and USB, audio system, active power steering, 1-zone climate control, multifunction steering wheel, paddle shifters, engine start from a button, start-stop system, keyless access, extended power adjustment package are included in the list of basic options for the 2020 Mercedes AMG GT coupe.
