The Ferrari Testarossa is recognized as one of the most successful models of the Italian brand. Although at first the unusual design of the model caused mixed feelings among fans of the brand, and it took them some time to get used it. Designed by Pininfarina, the car looked too revolutionary for its time. But today, many consider the Testarossa to be one of the most beautiful Ferrari cars of all time. It was equipped with a 12-cylinder engine, which developed 390 hp and provided acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h. The original Testarossa was produced from 1984 to 1991, after which it was modernized and renamed 512 TR (1991-1994) and F512 M (1994-1996). Over the entire period of production, about 10 thousand supercars were built.

At the present day, the Testarossa is a classic car, with the price of especially rare models reaching 900 thousand dollars. Some say that a supercar was left in one of the streets of Puerto Rico, where it stood for 17 years. That car was in a terrible state and could be bought for only 30 thousand dollars. Moreover, other enthusiasts create unique piece supercars based on the Testarossa. For example, the 2001 two-door Bizzarrini BZ was assembled on a thoroughly redesigned Ferrari Testarossa chassis by the American Barry Watkins, owner of the Watkins Racing racing workshop. This car is currently estimated at 750 thousand euros.

And now another Ferrari Testarossa restomod is next in line. Its premiere will take place in the coming months, and no one knows how many cars will be produced or how much they will cost. A Swiss company Officine Fioravanti has been developing a new coupe based on the legendary beautiful car for more than a year. The restomod boasts adjustable Öhlins shock absorbers and Brembo brakes with 6-piston mechanisms on the front axle and 4-piston on the rear axle. They are hidden behind wheels with a diameter of 17 and 18 inches, respectively. The original model featured 16-inch wheels.

The company wanted to preserve the original appearance of the car. At the same time, the creators assure that the car will be incredibly comfortable inside. The interior is trimmed with new leather, plastic parts are replaced with metal ones, and the owner of the coupe will also have a modern multimedia system compatible with the Apple CarPlay protocol. A premium sound system probably comes into the picture. There are also anti-lock and traction control systems, which can be turned off in pursuit of ‘analogue sensations’. Handling will be improved by revised aerodynamics.

The Ferrari Testarossa Restomod comes with the same 4.9-liter V12 engine, which now produces 517 hp and 599 Nm instead of the previous 390 hp and 490 Nm. So far, it is only known that there is a titanium exhaust system, which also partially ensured the 130 kg weight reduction. The dry weight of the original coupe is 1,506 kg. The top speed of new model reaches 324 km/h, but it is still unknown much time it takes the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
