Range Rover Velar is a mid-size four-wheel drive luxury SUV from the British automobile maker, Land Rover, produced since 2017. In 2020, the 2017 first generation Range Rover Velar 5-Door SUV was available on the Israeli market.

The 2018/2019 Range Rover Velar 5-Door 5-Seater SUV is 4,803 mm long, 2,032 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,874 mm. Its trunk volume reaches 673 liters. Thanks to the air suspension, the Velar can be lifted by 251 millimeters with a standard ground clearance of 213 mm. The new SUV can easily overcome fords 650 millimeters deep.

The new Range Rover Velar boasts a truly revolutionary design! Expressive proportions, extendable door handles and an integrated rear spoiler enhance aerodynamics. And such trim elements as a metallized radiator grille make this vehicle even more eye-catching.

The Velar is distinguished by its interior, which is almost entirely transferred to touch screens and touch keys. The 2019/2020 Range Rover Velar is equipped with InControl Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with great design and superior functionality that provides access to a variety of data and entertainment features.

Modifications

Israeli buyers can choose from three petrol and two diesel options of the new Range Rover Velar. All of them are turbocharged and are complemented by an 8-speed automatic transmission. The petrol engines comprise 2-liter 250 hp and 300 hp models, and a 3-liter V-shaped 6-cylinder 380 hp model. The latter enables the SUV to accelerate to a record speed of 250 km/h. The first two engines are less impressive, providing 217 and 234 km/h, respectively. The diesel engines are represented by a 2-liter 240 hp model and a 3-liter V-shaped 6-cylinder model producing 300 hp. The first engine provides a speed of 217 km/h, while the second one provides 240 km/h. But please note that the first engine consumes 5.8 liters of fuel per 100 km, in contrast to the second one, the average consumption of which amounts to 6.4 liters per 100 km.

Trim versions

The S, SE, HSE and Velar trim versions of the 2019/2020 Range Rover Velar are offered to Israeli buyers. All of them are equipped with a panoramic roof, decorative interior lighting, kicking plates, tinted glass, leather interior, hands-free trunk opening and LED headlights. The Range Rover Velar HSE boasts a head-up display, front seat massage functions and an expanded list of options.

All the 2020 Range Rover Velar trims have 7 airbags, central locking, rear camera, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, ABS and ASR, blind spot monitoring and driver fatigue sensor (except for Velar), lane control assist, hill descent and start assist, brake assist, collision avoidance system, stability assist and steering stabilizer system.

The basic options of the new 2020 Range Rover Velar include a modern multimedia system suitable for Android Auto, Carplay, Bluetooth, USB, voice control and smartphone control, an audio system, active power steering, heated side mirrors and front seats, 2-zone climate control, multifunctional steering wheel, push button start, keyless access, and an adaptive lighting system.
