Kia Stonic SUV instead of Kia Rio hatchback
One of the best city cars, small, eye-catching and dynamic Kia Rio has been produced since 2000. It was a truly popular global model with a number of good reviews from the owners. But the general tendency towards SUVs led to a drop in sales of the compact model not only in the European market. The car is no longer represented even in Korea itself. Therefore, the manufacturer has decided to replace the Kia Rio with the Kia Stonic: the SUV will completely replace the hatchback in Europe.
Perhaps the same changes await the Israeli market. We will be sorry to say goodbye to the hatchback. Starting from 2020, our market offered the 4th generation Kia Rio restyled in 2020: the hatchback was equipped with the only 1.0-liter engine and a 7-speed DCT robotic gearbox. The cost started from 109,437 shekels (as of the end of 2022).
However, the Kia Stonic is already well known to the Israelis. Introduced in 2017, the vehicle arrived in Israel and became the 8th best-selling model within the brand in 2018. In 2019, it already occupied the 4th place, holding it in 2020. Today, the first generation SUV is offered in Israel after restyling in 2020. The model offers a wide choice of engines (1.0 - 1.4 l) and two gearboxes (manual and robotic ones), but it is front-wheel drive only. The cost starts from 113,437 shekels (as of the end of 2022).
