Mazda MX-5 or Mazda Miata (in the US market) is a compact 2-door 2-seater rear-wheel drive roadster produced by Mazda (Japan) since 1989. The fourth generation Mazda MX-5 has been on the market since 2015.

New design

The fourth generation Mazda MX-5 has been created according to the canons of kansei engineering, which is based on the emotional perception of the product by the buyer. The new MX-5 roadster has become significantly more compact. Its length is now even shorter than that of the first generation roadster. The weight has been drastically reduced, and now the Mazda MX-5, just like in the good old days, weighs within a ton. In this case, the stiffness of the structure has increased significantly. All of this is for the sake of ‘the oneness between horse and rider’ or ‘Jinba ittai’ - this is how the creators call the philosophy of the MX-5.

With independent spring-loaded rear and front suspension, ventilated disc brakes at the front and disc at the rear, with compact dimensions (the length does not exceed 3,915 mm), and relatively low weight, the new Mazda MX-5 roadster has an excellent road-holding capability, excellent steering response and a rather aggressive character.

Modifications

The new MX-5 is delivered to the Israeli market with a 2-liter SKYACTIV-G petrol engine with 183 hp. It allows the roadster to reach a speed of 219 km/h, and accelerates it to 100 km in 6.5 seconds. It is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. As for the automatic transmission, the Japanese cleverly ask: do you really need it?

Trim versions

The Standart trim version of the 2019/2020 Mazda MX-5 is offered to Israeli buyers, which means that it has everything anyone may need. First, there is an almost complete range of driver assistance systems, including the lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring systems, hill start assist, collision avoidance system, and even a drive mode selection system.

With the heated leather sports seats, which is great for our winter, climate control for summer, a comfortable multifunctional leather-trimmed steering wheel, a rear camera and rear parking sensors for easy parking, cruise control for a quiet ride, LED headlights with adaptive lighting system, you get a new roadster Mazda MX-5 or a real ‘happiness hormone’! The driver of the 2020 Mazda MX‑5 will definitely be happy!
