Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition saves your money
The 2020 Porsche Panamera restyling did not help the second generation model, which has been produced since 2016. A drop in sales of the Porsche Panamera is due to an incredible success of the Star Award-winning electric Taycan, which is catching up with the Porsche Macan and Cayenne. In such a difficult situation, when its own models compete with each other, Porsche has opted for the new 2022 Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition. The German manufacturer sees its Platinum Edition as a redecoration and expensive standard options.
Israeli buyers can purchase the new second-generation Porsche Panamera liftback after the 2018 restyling in two versions: 4 and 4S. Both are hybrid and all-wheel drive. Both are equipped with a 17.9 kW/h battery, and have a range of up to 54-56 km (WLTP cycle). The 4 E-Hybrid accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, while the 4S E-Hybrid does it in 3.7 seconds. The maximum speed is 280 and 298 km/h, respectively.
The 2022 Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition is not just a luxury version of the Panamera, as it saves your money. It comes standard with 21-inch Exclusive Design Sport wheels in Satin Platinum, which are priced at $5,500 on other models. The palette of free color options has been expanded from two basic (white and black) to 13, it even includes a trendy metallic, which costs $3,270. Moreover, the entry-level ‘platinum’ Panamera includes LED matrix headlights Porsche Dynamic Lighting System Plus and automatic high beam, which will save at least $1,980.
All four doors of the entry-level model have a $740 soft-close system, and inside are Platinum Edition door sills and an embossed Porsche Crest on the headrests ($570). The interior is finished in black brushed aluminum ($1,000), and the 14-way front seats are heated and ventilated, which will cost $1,390 for the ‘regular’ versions. Porsche has installed $2,190 air suspension on the 2022/2023 Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition. Blind spot monitoring system (for $1,060) is also standard on the Platinum Edition.
Israeli buyers can currently purchase the 2019 electric Porsche Taycan, both with rear and all-wheel drive. The sedan comes in different versions, including the most powerful AT Turbo S 761 4x4. The maximum output is 761 hp, and the battery capacity reaches 93.4 kW/h. Acceleration to 100 km/h occurs in 2.8 seconds, the maximum speed is 260 km/h, and the driving range is 390 km.
So who will be lucky to save money with a deluxe version of the Panamera? Well, the Americans will be, as their market will be the first to get this amazing version. The 2022 Platinum Edition is available for the Panamera, Panamera 4 and Panamera 4 E-Hybrid; they have one 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 325 hp.
