Renault Zoe hatchback. 1st generation, 2019 restyling
The Renault Zoe is an electric car produced by the French side of the Renault-Nissan alliance. It is a compact five-seater five-door hatchback. In 2021, Israeli buyers can purchase the first generation hatchback after the 2019 restyling.
Distinctive features
In 2019, the car underwent restyling. The restyled hatchback can boast of a completely new exterior, starting from LED optics that comprise the old headlights with a new filling, with broken daytime running lights and foglights, a stylish grille (which hides a traditional radiator!), to the taillights with horizontal LED strips. In general, the body remains the same, and it is difficult to notice a slight change in the shape of bumpers. In the same place, just to the right of the center of the fifth door handle, there is a rear-view camera, and the trunk opening button is located in the center. By the way, the trunk is very roomy. The rear seat backrests are folded in a 60:40 ratio, increasing the trunk volume from 338 liters to 1,225 liters.
Interior
The 2019/2020 Renault Zoe’s interior is finished with more pleasantly tactile materials, soft and non-squeaking, which is typical of affordable cars. These materials are environmentally friendly, easy to recycle and have a Teflon finish that repels dirt and water. The passenger compartment is decorated plastic inlays, painted in imitation of aluminum. Numerous design elements have been developed specifically for this hatchback, not counting the buttons from the Duster or the numerous rotating climate controls with screens on them.
It pleasant to see a multifunction steering wheel with a separate joystick for music control, diode lighting inside the passenger compartment, which has a neutral white color, and screens: a central touch panel and a dashboard with excellent graphics, bright colors and high contrast. The reach and height-adjustable steering wheel is oval and small.
Technical characteristics
The new Renault Zoe has a 25% greater drive range with a 50 kW/h battery, which equals up to 300 km, while the promised range is 390 km (according to the WLTP cycle). Thanks to the second connector, the car can be charged with both AC and DC. In half an hour, the battery can recharged for 150 km, which is very convenient, for example, at lunch break. In Israel, the electric Renault comes with an engine producing 109 hp and 225 Nm.
Equipment
This small car is greatly equipped. The list of equipment includes: electric package, RLINK 2 multimedia system with 7-inch touchscreen and Hebrew interface and 6 speakers, cruise control with speed limiter and steering wheel controls, rain light sensors and rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring, ABS with EBD and EBA, ESC and much more.
