2018 Volvo S60 Sedan. 3rd generation
Volvo S60 is a D-class sports sedan produced by Volvo (Sweden) since 2001. The front-engine, front or all-wheel drive layouts are available. In 2020, Israeli buyers could purchase the 2018 third generation model.
The 4-door 5-seater sedan is 4,761 mm long, 1,850 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,872 mm. The volume of its trunk reaches 442 liters.
Exterior and interior
The 2019/2020 Volvo S60 looks great and has a well-equipped high-quality interior. Its exterior boasts a hexagonal false grille, new Thor’s Hammer LED headlights, an aggressive front bumper, deeply embossed elements on the sides, stylish LED taillights and a powerful exhaust system.
The new S60's wheelbase has been extended to provide a more spacious interior. The interior of the sedan has a virtual dashboard, the latest multimedia system Sensus Connect with a 9.5-inch display, advanced safety and driver assistance systems. The autonomous steering system takes over the steering, acceleration and braking functions at speeds up to 130 km/h. The body of the new sedan has high passive safety and torsion rigidity. The choice of driving modes and active chassis give the car a sporty character.
Modifications
The 2018/2019 Sedan is delivered to the Israeli market in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variations. All the models are equipped with 2-liter turbocharged petrol engines and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel drive cars are equipped with a 190 hp engine capable of accelerating the sedan up to 220 km/h, and the acceleration to 100 km occurs in 7.1 seconds. All-wheel drive cars are equipped with a 303 hp engine that develops 250 km/h and goes from 0 to 100 km in 4.6 seconds.
Trim levels
Israeli buyers can choose from two trim levels of the 2019/2020 Volvo S60: R-Design and Inscription. Both of them are equipped with a panoramic roof, kicking plates, leather interior, LED headlights, fog lights and adaptive lighting system. The sporty R-Design modification for the 4×4 models is equipped with a sport suspension, a full-size spare wheel, a black headlining and pedal pads.
Both S60 trims have 6 airbags, rear-view and front cameras, all-round camera, front and rear parking sensors plus a parking assist system, adaptive cruise control, driving mode selection system, driver fatigue sensor, and a collision avoidance system.
The 2020 Volvo S60 becomes even more comfortable with an extended power package, which includes a power trunk lid and hands-free trunk door opening system, as well as electric seat adjustment and seat position memory. A multimedia system suitable for voice and smartphone control, 2-zone climate control, push button start, multifunction steering wheel, keyless access, fuel-saving start-stop system, light and rain sensors, and headlight washers complete the picture of the new S60 sedan.
