Aspark Owl. The fastest in the world

Aspark Owl 2020. Bodywork, Exterior. Coupe, 1 generation

The Aspark Owl is a small-scale megacar with a fantastic electric motor with over 2,000 hp. It is the first car of this class developed in Japan. The concept car appeared at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. Even then it became clear that the ‘Owl’ will win all speed and power competitions. The pre-production version debuted in November 2019 in Dubai, and only became available for purchase a few years later. And it was then that the world was amazed by the Japanese ‘Owl’, officially recognized as the fastest car in the world. The quantity will be limited: it is planned to assemble only 50 units for buyers around the world. The cost of each car starts from 3.56 million dollars.

The car accelerates to 60 miles per hour (97 km/h) in just 1.69 seconds, while acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in 1.9 seconds and to 300 km/h in 10.6 seconds. As a result, the Aspark Owl is considered the fastest accelerating production car in the world. The maximum speed is 400 km/h!

Record

By the way, we have specially compiled for you a ranking of the most powerful electric supercars in the world, the maximum power of which can surprise even the most sophisticated audience, but the Tesla Model S Plaid is there too (10th place)…

Exterior

The Japanese company Aspark was founded in 2005. In 2022, the number of its employees is 3 thousand people. The only Japanese creation to date, a modern super-megacar, has kept its Japanese charm. Its appearance is energetic and dynamic. The car has unusual doors that open forwards and upwards.

Interior

The interior of the Aspark Owl is made of better materials, but everything inside tells you it’s a race car. Just look at two recumbent seats, like those of Formula 1 models. At the same time, each Owl is equipped with a stabilization system, air conditioning, navigation system, virtual dashboard, interior contour lighting and rear and side cameras. No modern active safety system is provided. In the promo video, we see a girl driving this megacar on the track, and then she drives home in the same car along a regular road (at the same speed!). Thus, the car turns out to be quite versatile.

Engines

Aspark Owl 2020. Engine. Coupe, 1 generation

The crazy electric car is equipped with a 64 kWh battery that offers a range of around 400 km. The battery powers four electric motors (two front and two rear ones) which together produce 2,102 horsepower and 2,000 Nm of torque. These numbers are higher than those originally reported in 2019 when the car was first announced. And it does not matter that the autonomy of the Aspark Owl is less than that initially planned. Plus, you can recharge a lithium-ion battery in 80 minutes.

Rimac Nevera 2021. Direct competitor of the Aspark Owl.

Direct competitors of the "Owl" are the Draco Dragon coupe-like SUV with four electric motors with a total power of 2,026 hp, the Rimac Nevera 2-door coupe with four electric motors with a total capacity of 1,914 hp and the Lotus Evija electric coupe, the first production car with 2,000 hp.
