Meet the restyled Toyota RAV4 in Israel
The Toyota RAV4 consistently ranks among the top 3 undisputed world market leaders in terms of sales volumes. The legendary name, reliability and impressive capacity allow the popular SUV to remain at the top of almost all ratings. The Israeli market offers the fifth generation RAV4, which was released in 2018. We have already analyzed all of its pros and cons. But it is already known that a restyled SUV will appear in Israel in 2023. Its restyling was progressive: in 2021, the vehicle received new LED headlights with integrated navigation light strips and advanced equipment, while the interior was finalized in 2022. The restyled version features a fully virtual dashboard (for the first time on this model), a new multimedia system with a 10.5-inch screen as standard, and updated safety systems. In Israel, the restyled Toyota RAV4 2023 will cost at least 199,990 shekels. The start of deliveries was announced by Union Motors, the exclusive supplier of Toyota cars in Israel.
What’s new?
All trim levels of the Toyota RAV4 2023 are equipped with a new Toyota 2 TOUCH T multimedia system with a large 10.5-inch touch screen (instead of the 8-inch screen of the previous model). The new system includes a Hebrew interface, wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto, voice control (‘Hey Toyota’), OTA updates and more. At the same time, the hardware volume knob is still there. In the European market, there is the possibility of remote control via a smartphone app, but this option is not yet available in Israel.
The standard dashboard with a 7-inch analog screen is still listed as standard (the simplest 4.2-inch screen has been removed from the options), but the top-end versions now offer a 12.3-inch digital dashboard with three different display modes.
Other updates include an enhanced Toyota Safety Sense system and new body colors. The TSS includes: autonomous emergency braking with cornering control, emergency obstacle avoidance, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, rear-passenger alert, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition and more.
There are no technical changes. Since 2020, the SUV has been offered in hybrid versions in most European markets. Depending on the type of engine, front or all-wheel drive and trim levels, Israeli buyers could choose from 17 SUV options.
